The Game Créalab Francophone 2026 returns for a new edition and will bring together, from October 9 to 22 in Chartres, five creative teams from five countries: France, Luxembourg, Morocco, Switzerland, and Wallonia.
This edition is supported by several key institutions committed to the development of the video game industry, including the CNC, the Film Fund Luxembourg, Pro Helvetia, Wallimage, as well as the French Institute of Morocco and the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication. In this framework, the MJCC acts as a strategic partner, contributing to the implementation of this initiative.
At the core of the program is a simple principle: one team per territory will be selected to represent their country through a video game project at the concept stage.
Each team, composed mainly of a game designer and an art director, will be responsible for bringing an original idea to life and transforming it into a structured game concept, alongside international creative talents.
Over 14 days, the five teams will work together in a residency fully dedicated to game creation. The goal is clear: to evolve each project in depth by defining its core foundations — gameplay, universe, narrative, and art direction.
Participants will benefit from guidance provided by industry professionals (writers, creators, publishers), through direct exchanges and constructive feedback to refine their projects.
For the Moroccan team, this is a unique opportunity to present its project in an international environment, test its ideas, and strengthen them within a collaborative framework.
The program will also include participation in Paris Game Biz, a key moment where the teams will pitch their projects to industry professionals.
Each selected team will receive a €2,000 grant, as well as full accommodation coverage for both members, allowing creators to fully focus on developing their project.
The Game Créalab Francophone 2026 call for projects is open to creative teams from studios or independent authors. Only one team will be selected to represent Morocco.
