Presentation
As part of its national strategy to position Morocco as a leading gaming industry hub in Africa and the MENA region, the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication is establishing a structured incubation ecosystem dedicated to gaming startups. This initiative aims to support entrepreneurs throughout the entire lifecycle of their projects—from idea validation and prototype development to market launch, business growth, and international expansion.
By strengthening the national incubation ecosystem and fostering collaboration with public and private partners, investors, publishers, accelerators, and international gaming organizations, the Ministry seeks to create an enabling environment that stimulates innovation, entrepreneurship, and the emergence of globally competitive Moroccan gaming companies.
This national incubation framework will:
- Support the creation and growth of Moroccan gaming startups by providing tailored incubation services, mentoring, technical expertise, and business development support.
- Identify and nurture high-potential startups capable of becoming future national and international leaders in the gaming industry.
- Promote entrepreneurship and innovation by encouraging young developers and creative talents to transform innovative ideas into sustainable businesses.
- Facilitate access to funding and investment opportunities through connections with venture capital funds, public financing schemes, publishers, and private investors.
- Accelerate the internationalization of Moroccan gaming startups by facilitating their participation in international trade shows, business matchmaking events, publisher meetings, and global acceleration programs.
- Strengthen international cooperation by building partnerships between Moroccan startups and leading gaming ecosystems, incubators, accelerators, universities, and innovation hubs worldwide.
- Contribute to the development of a sustainable gaming ecosystem by fostering collaboration among startups, studios, educational institutions, investors, and public stakeholders, thereby reinforcing Morocco’s competitiveness in the global gaming industry.
