Presentation
The global gaming industry is experiencing unprecedented growth, establishing itself as one of the fastest-growing segments of the cultural and creative industries. Driven by technological innovation, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, immersive technologies, and the rapid expansion of esports and mobile gaming, the sector is generating an increasing demand for highly skilled professionals across the entire gaming value chain.
This rapid evolution has significantly increased the need for qualified talent in a wide range of disciplines, including game design, programming, game art, animation, audio production, quality assurance, user experience (UX/UI), production, publishing, digital marketing, esports management, and business development. As competition intensifies worldwide, developing a strong pipeline of skilled professionals has become a strategic priority for countries seeking to build a competitive gaming industry ecosystem.
In line with Morocco’s ambition to position itself as a regional hub for the gaming industry, the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication is implementing a comprehensive strategy to develop human capital by structuring a national training ecosystem in partnership with universities, vocational training institutions, specialized schools, and international academic partners. This initiative aims to align training programs with industry needs, strengthen the employability of young people, support the growth of Moroccan studios and startups, and attract international investment.
The national training offer will provide multiple learning pathways adapted to different profiles and career objectives, including:
- Diploma Programs (Bachelor +2, Bachelor +3, and Master’s +5 levels) covering the core professions of the gaming industry.
- Professional Certification Programs designed to develop specialized technical skills and facilitate upskilling and reskilling.
- Vocational Qualification Programs providing practical, industry-oriented training to enable rapid integration into the labor market.
Through this diversified training ecosystem, Morocco aims to develop a new generation of highly qualified gaming professionals capable of supporting the sustainable growth and international competitiveness of the national gaming industry.
